Hi.
In order to download datasets, we must log in and specify the project with which the download is associated. That makes sense, and is fine with me. However, here's how the process unfolds each time:

Go to dhsprogram.com
Select 'Download Datasets'
Choose a survey by country/year and click the 'Data Available' link.
Get prompted to register / log in.
New page/tab opens.
Log in.
Choose project.
Choose country.
Select survey.
Download data.

This is unnecessarily laborious. Why not prompt users earlier in the process to log in if they want to download, and *don't* spawn a new page or tab?

Thanks for considering -- I'm really grateful for the DHS program and its products.

Hi colinodden, We are in the process of revising the download datasets section. We will note these suggestions.

Thank you for your interest in the DHS program and participation in the userforum.


We now have repositories of code written in Stata and SPSS available on Github. Please reference these code repositories as a resource for code for matching or calculating DHS indicators. The code repositories can be found at:
