Dear Experts,
Can we construct stunting from height/age standard deviation associated with v440, in the same way as children's height/age?
Can you please explain to me, what does (v442) height/age percent ref. median mean? for women in IR file?

Following is response from DHS Research & Data Analysis Director, Tom Pullum:
Yes, you can use v440 to assess stunting in women, but for adults v440 is not quite interpretable as a height-for-age score. The WHO scores (v440) are based on age 18 if the woman's age is 18+. That is, for age 18+, all women at a the same height will have exactly the same value of v440. Stunting is defined as v440<-200.
We never use v442 and v443. There is not a good justification for having them in the data files.
