Hi ,

I am trying analyze the HIV status in Indian men by using the men's recode and blood sample files. I saw there were some variables in Men's recode which initialized with SM. I couldn't find the description of these variables in the recode manual.

Can you direct me to a link where I can find their descriptions?

Like SMDISTRI, SMSLUMC,SMSLUMO

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yash

SMDISTRI is the district code. The district code is unique within a state, but district codes may repeat in different states. There are two slum variables, SHSLUMC (slum designation by sample frame) and SHSLUMO (slum designation by observation in the field).
