Hi!
I'm using DHS and MIS data to complete some analysis for my PhD research and had a question about the district names in the 1993 and 2008/9 DHS datasets. In the other files I've downloaded, both previous and subsequent to the above DHS surveys, district has been named in the datasets (e.g. Bungoma, Trans-Nzoia etc). I found an earlier post suggesting the districts can't be named for confidentiality reasons, but this seems odd given that the districts are named in other datasets, e.g. DHS 2003. I was wondering if there's a way to access the original data with county names/list of county names with assigned codes? I know for the 2008/9 DHS I could try linking the DHS and GPS data together using GIS software, but the 1993 DHS GPS data aren't distributed.
