Help!! Different Value Labels in Men and Women (iR) dataset for Kenya [message #23120]

Hi, I am trying to append the men and women data together for years 2003-2014 in Stata. However, when I do this, I get wrong values for a lot of the variables, as there is a mismatch in the original data in the value labels. For example a variable on ethnicity in men sample for 2014 could have contradicting value labels with the same variable in the women sample for that given year. Please, is there something that I can do about this. Please I need help. Thank you.
