I am using NFHS-India data which i downloaded from IPUMS DHS for all the four phases pertaining to women. The data is in a single file for all the four phases. I am using PERWEIGHT variable for weighting. But the when I create a frequency distribution for any of the background characteristics variable the No. of women does not match with published reports but the percentages do exactly match with the published reports.
I am using SPPS for data analysis and am using the following command to weight data.
Weight by PERWEIGHT.
How to resolve the issue.
