I am trying to compute the mean and median duration of postpartum insusceptibility/amenorrhea/abstinence from the kids file of India (2015-16) using Staa. However, my values are much lower than the ones in the published report.

Can you please help me with the Stata codes if possible?

Thank you. However, the stata codes for the median and mean duration of postpartum amenorrhea/abstinence/insuspectibility are yet to be added in the given link. Could you please suggest some other way to obtain the same.

Please refer to The Guide to DHS Statistics. It contains a section on "Median and Mean Durations of Postpartum Amenorrhea, Abstinence, and Insusceptibility"

Following is a response from DHS Senior Analysis & Research Manager, Shireen Assaf and DHS Senior Sampling Specialist, Mahmoud Elkasabi:

The R code you need was recently added to the DHS GitHub site. Here is the link: https://github.com/DHSProgram/DHS-Indicators-R.

The code is in Chapter 5 and the file is called FE_MEDIANS.R. You should check the FEmain file to see what packages you need to load before running the code.
