I am using the 2011 Ethiopia dataset to run some comparative stats. I have a question in the ETHR61FL data set regarding hv245 " Hectares of agricultural land (1 decimal)". The data range is 0:949 and the average land area owned per household comes out to around 30 ha. However, this seems quite high. I looked back at the questionnaire and it appears there is a decimal point in the response field xx.x. I'm wondering if a decimal point should be added to the data (i.e. 30 becomes 3, 100 becomes 10, etc). That way, the average land per household is 3 ha which seems more reasonable. Your guidance regarding this matter is much appreciated.

Dear User,
Here is a response from one of our experts, Guillermo Rojas:
"We don't store decimal points in the data we distribute. For variable HV245, the user needs to divide it by 10, there is one decimal implicit as specified by the variable label."
Thank you!
