Thank you very much for the information. I have got the point now. According to the recode manual the BMI is multiplied by 100.But I have got three variables for BMI (HA40, HB40 and SHBM).Three variables shows different frequencies for valid cases and missing cases. For analysis which one should I select? I have got the same problem for variables age( HV105, SH234, SH234C) sex (HC27, HV104)marital status (SH08, SH235.

I would be grateful if you pls make it clear.
