Hello,
I need the districts of the household clusters in earlier versions of Bangladesh DHS-1993 and 1996- as these data do not have GPS data. I am doing a spatial anaylsis and need to merge them with information at the district-level. In the household file and individual-level files, there is a variable called "shdistr" and "sdistr" respectively but it contains only numerical values and I found no information anywhere, even in the Final Report, about what these numbers mean. The questionnaires have a section for "Division" "District" and "Upazila".
GPS data is available from 1999-00 DHS and onwards and they have been very helpful. If I can add the districts for 1993 and 1996, I will have more observations for the analysis. Looking forward to your response.
