I DEAL WITH DHS2014 WITH A VARIABLE BMI THAT RANGE FROM ( 1310 , 99980 )
I CANT UNDERSTAND THIS RANGE
AS I KNOW THE TRUE RANGE IS LIKE 20 , 31 , 40
NEED YOUR HELP URGENTLY

Following is a response from DHS Research & Data Analysis Director, Tom Pullum:

Most of the anthropometry variables have been multiplied by 100 to eliminate a decimal point. To convert back to the usual scale, you need to divide by 100. Note also that there are some codes at the upper end that indicate flagged data. These should be the codes that start with a 9. Such codes should be omitted from calculations of means, BMI intervals, etc.
