Hi there,

In the standard recode manual (see here https://dhsprogram.com/pubs/pdf/DHSG4/Recode7_DHS_10Sep2018_ DHSG4.pdf), it was said in Var M39 that "The number of times the children received anything to eat, aside from breast milk, including both meals and snacks. Children who are being exclusively breastfed are coded 0."

When I ran the variable in SPSS, it showed that 26.9% (3243) of babies were exclusively breastfed.

However, the summary of reports (see https://www.dhsprogram.com/pubs/pdf/FR359/FR359.pdf) stated that "
29% of children under age 6 months are exclusively breastfed"

Can someone please provide some information on the discrepancy (26.9% Versus 29%)?
