Help finding variable names for SPA Haiti [message #19068]

Hello Fellow Researchers,

Might someone be able to direct me to where I can find the variable code for the Haiti SPA questionnaire?

For example, facility type is coded as 1-7 in the surveys, but I do not know what each of these correspond to. I have referred to the SARA facility identification listed here, but it says that these should be adapted at the country level before being implemented. The department names and communes are also unspecified numbers.

Any guidance would me much appreciated as we are trying to build a covid-19 vulnerability map using the data.

Might you be able to share the full variable coding for the 2017-18 SPA survey in Haiti?

Facility type is one example variable that I was trying to decode, but there are others. For example, departments and communes are also coded numerically along with a number of other variable entries.

I found the 2017-18 SPA questionnaire for Haiti for the variable names: https://dhsprogram.com/pubs/pdf/SPA29/SPA29.pdf
and I found the department codes in the SAS file.

Dear User, in addition to the questionnaires, once you download the data, you will see a MAP file with each data file. The MAP files are the codebooks for each data set.
