Hi all,

In the recode manual, the maternal anthropometry variable V440 is described as "Height for Age standard deviations from the reference median".

I poked around but failed to find details about this reference median. Where does the value come from? Does it vary by country? I guess a reference standard deviation is also needed to produce the z scores of V440.

Any help greatly appreciated,
