I am looking for the biomarker data from the micronutrient survey done in Malawi in 2004 and 2009. For 2015-16 it was incorporated with the DHS and the dataset is avaiable under the same. However for 2004 and 2009 I checked under the DHS datasets but cannot find the other biomarker data. Could you please assist with this information?

Dear User, Malawi DHS 2004. Chapter 10, section 10.3 Micronutrients, P.171 has limited information on micronutrients, but it's not outside of the normal data we distribute for our surveys. It's all part of our standard data set.
In the Malawi DHS 2010 survey (there was no 2009 Malawi survey listed on our website), Chapter 11, 11.8 MICRONUTRIENT INTAKE AMONG CHILDREN P144. Again part of our standard data set. You can download any of our publications from our website.

Dear User, Once again there was no Malawi DHS 2001 so I am assuming you are referring to Malawi DHS 2000. Can you provide information as to where in the questionnaire you found the collected micronutrients? In checking the report, I did not find anything extra regarding micronutrients. Can you please be more specific? Thank you! If you check chapter 1 of the report, it will go into what type of data was collected and what each type of questionnaire includes. Thanks!

Hello Liz,
Just to clarify, I am not referring to DHS survey, but rather MNS survey, which is a completely different survey, but is conducted as a sub-study of DHS (at least in 2015-2016 it was). The years will be different for the other studies as I suppose (see attached report for 2001, the report for 2009 MNS is too big to attache). The data from the 2015-2016 MNS is available under the "other biomarkers" tab in the datasets, but I can't find a similar tab under the earlier DHSs.
My question is whether you have this for the two earlier MNS surveys as well. I know it's a bit complicated, but it seem as though data for both these datasets is housed by DHS, which is why I thought to ask.
