UNAIDS estimates 3.6 (3.2-3.9) million people aged 50 and older living with HIV. Given the increased HIV prevalence among population 50 years and older we would also support inclusion of this age group in the survey. I have attached the special supplement of the UNAIDS report on global AIDS epidemic 2013 entitled HIV and Aging in support of this proposal.
