Is there anyway to use MIS surveys to do a survival analysis with the Children's Recode? Every country/file I've checked so far has info on whether the child died or not and the date of birth of the child, but no info on date of death for children who have died.

Am I missing something?

Dear User, unfortunately not all MIS surveys collected date of death data. The ones which have some data mainly ask "how old a child was when they died". It is recorded in days, months, and years in the questionnaires. You can look at Angola MIS 2006, Angola MIS 2011, Kenya MIS 2010,Liberia MIS 2009, Nigeria MIS 2010, Senegal MIS 2008-09, Tanzania DHS-MIS 2015-16, Uganda MIS 2009.
