Hi, I would like to know whether there's a variable for height for weight z score in the DHS KR file for Zambia. If there's not a built-in variable, I would like to know the procedure to calculate the z-score on my own. I am using stata for my analysis.
Thank you!

Dear User, a good place to start is The Guide to DHS Statistics. You can also do a search on the forum for key words and should find some posts regarding z scores. Thank you!

Hi Liz,
Thank you for your reply. It helped me locate the variables. DHS 2013-14 Zambia has already calculated them. In the KR file, I was able to find the following.

hw70 "Height/Age standard deviation (new WHO)"
hw71 "Weight/Age standard deviation (new WHO)"
hw72 "Weight/Height standard deviation (new WHO)"
