This request is submitted on behalf of a number of civil society organizations and seeks to have a question added to both the women's and men's questionnaires on whether current marriages are registered. This information would enable more targeted intervention to increase registration rates. Marriage registration has been shown to be an important enabler of other rights for women and an important contribution to economic, social, and political empowerment.
