These indicators addresses an important gap in the current DHS. First, while the DHS includes a module on domestic violence, it does not include questions regarding forms of violence experienced in the community, such as at school, at work, or in the marketplace. Second, the DHS currently explores only the experience of sexual and gender-based violence, focusing on intimate partner violence among women, and does not address men's experiences of sexual and gender-based violence, or the experiences of perpetrators of sexual violence.
