Hi:

I am working with datasets from 15 countries to estimate and to compare breastfeeding indicators (mainly with variables v404, v426, m4). I use software Stata to do all analysis. So, I joined all datasets and calculated the estimatives of breastfeeding indicators. I want to consider the sampling weight (v005) and survey structure (cluster and strata). Is it corrected to set the analysis using command "svyset" for all datasets and to calculate breastfeeding indicators by country?

There have been many previous postings on how to recode the ID codes for the strata and the clusters, and options for recoding the sampling weight, so you can correctly specify svyset in files with multiple surveys. Please look for such postings. Let us know if you can't find them.
