Dear DHS Experts,
I reviewed the final reports of Ethiopian DHS, for instance, the 2011 EDHS final report at page 7 described: The EDHS data used in this study has an ethical clearance from at least one of the following institutes:
•Ethiopian Central Statistical Authority (CSA);
•Federal Ministry of Health;
. National Research Ethics Review Committee (NRERC); and
•the Institutional Review Board of ICF International through DHS Program.

I would like to ask that these statement is unclear in terms of how each of these committees were involved. Would you explain me how each of this institutions involved in the implementation and ethical aspects of the surveys?
Best regards,

The post in message #16164 appears to misquote the final report. The 2011 Ethiopia DHS report on page 7 reads:
"Ethical clearance for the survey was provided by the EHNRI Review Board, the National Research Ethics Review Committee (NRERC) at the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Institutional Review Board of ICF International, and the CDC."
