Dear forum members,

I have been trying to make sense of how WI is calculated in DHS surveys through reading the final reports. After a lot of wandering the process remains unclear to me so I was thinking of giving it a try myself. If anyone can share the STATA code for calculating WI for any country that'd do me a great favor.

Any clue to the method using STATA is also highly appreciated.

I suggest going through the manual by Rutstein provided on the DHS website, it is fairly detailed. Be vary of discrepancies between official values and the values in the household file. Manually cross-validate them, preferably.
