Team

I want to estimate the Cox proportional hazard model for early child mortality for Lesotho using the 2014 dataset. I have gone through the topics in the forum and found the syncmrates commands. I have run them in STATA and found estimates exactly the same and the national estimates reported in the survey.

Now my question is: How do I set for the time variable in Stata in order to enable me to estimate the cox proportional model? I will appreciate the coding in that respect. I want to use independent variable such as age of mother, gender of child, child spacing, number of children before etc.

Please help me with the stset code such that i do not mess up the analysis.

regards
Kanono
