Dear Forum,

Analysing the children dataset 2015 and 2010 in Rwanda, I found out that the total sample used in the report for the IYCF practices is much bigger than the total sample in the raw dataset. I only took into account the children from 6 to 23 months, as the IYCF practices analyze children in this range of age.

Total sample in DHS 2015 report (pag 159) for IYCF practices: 2.409 children age 6-23 months
Total sample in DHS 2015 raw dataset "RWKR70FL" using stata -tab hw1 if hw1>=6 & hw1<=23- : 1.171 children age 6-23 months

Total sample in DHS 2010 report (pag 153) for IYCF practices: 2.372 children age 6-23 months
Total sample in DHS 2010 raw dataset "RWKR61FL" using stata -tab hw1 if hw1>=6 & hw1<=23- : 1.214 children age 6-23 months

Please, see attached a pdf. I don't know whether I am missing some sample.

Thank you very much in advance.

Dear User,
We do not use the hw1 variable for age. You will need to calculate the age variable using v008, select the appropriate sample and apply survey weights. Please see this post for assistance selecting the sample: https:// userforum.dhsprogram.com/index.php?t=msg&th=5034&sta rt=0&
