Hello!

I am currently working on a project that is attempting to see if the opinions of couples impact the factors surrounding the circumcision of their daughters. I am using DHS datasets from Benin (2011-2012), Cote D'Ivoire (2011-2012), Ethiopia (2016), Guinea (2012), Kenya (2014), Mali (2012-2013), Niger (2012), Nigeria (2013), Senegal (2016), Sierra Leone (2013), and Togo (2013-2014). To do this, I need to link couples in the DHS datasets into a variable that I can use to compare their opinions and decisions surrounding their daughters. There is a variable for men's opinions (MG119) and on women's opinions (G119) of female genital mutilation, but I am not sure how to connect couples around this variable so that I am not just seeing independent men's and women's opinions.

I would be grateful for any help and insight that anyone has regarding this challenge.

Thank you!

C.
