I am working with the Senegal DHS files from 2016 and am having trouble finding health insurance observations in the data. I know that Senegal DHS had health insurance information in 2010/2011 but am looking for more recent data on health insurance for Senegal. I can see the following variables listed below but with no data points or observations for them. Are there other health insurance variables in the Senegal DHS files that I can use? Here are the variables that I tried to access but do not seem to be available in the most recent Senegal DHS files:

v481 v481a v481b v481c v481d v481e v481f v481g v481h v481x

mv481 mv481a mv481b mv481c mv481d mv481e mv481f mv481g mv481h mv481x

Following is a response by Senior DHS Data Processing Specialst, Keith Purvis:

The standard questions on whether the respondent has health insurance, and, if so, what type, were not included in either the women's or men's questionnaires in the Senegal 2016 DHS. However, country-specific questions on health insurance were asked for each household member during the household interview, along with questions about payments for health visits (questions QH20FA-E).

Unfortunately, variables based on these questions were omitted from the current version of the data file. We will add these variables to the data file and release the updated data file as soon as possible.
