Hello DHS Forum,

I am working with the 2016 survey and having some trouble with the reasons for non-use of contraception variables (V3A08A-Z). I am trying to group them based on theme and I cannot seem to do so because I don't understand how the variable was constructed. What is the denominator? Only n=4567 answered these questions, but it is not clear from which other variables that number was derived. Help would be much appreciated.
