Dear Sir/Madam,

I want to know about the table 8.20 (NFHS-4 India report page no. 234) average cost of delivery that, which variable used for the computation of "Average cost of delivery at public health facility, private health facility and any health facility" with the specific conditions, controlling missing cases, do not know cases and range of values included in the computation.

We recently found an error in the construction of this table. The revised version of the table will be included in the final NFHS-4 report, which will be published in June.

Dear Sir,

I am unable to analyse table 8.20 (NFHS-4 India report page no. 234) average cost of delivery. Please help for the computation of delivery cost. Want to know that, which variable used for the computation and, how to certain conditions apply with the specific variables.

Following is a response from Senior Data Processing Specialist, Mianmian Yu:

Thanks for the question. The delivery cost in Table 8.20 was calculated from variables S449 and S448BA-BD.

Attached is the CSPro code used for the table.

Dear Mianmian Yu,

Thank you so much for the CSpro code used for the computation of delivery cost. I have converted this codes into SPSS code but getting difference between Rupees 1-3. It may be error by my side to convert CSPro code to SPSS code. I have request to you, if possible to send STATA codes for computation of delivery cost will be better to convert codes in to SPSS.
