Hello, in the children file of Burkina Faso DHS 1998-1999 (i.e., BFKR31FL.DTA), there are some clusters that have been categorised as rural clusters (v025), which are categorised as urban clusters when looking at the variable in the gps file (i.e., URBAN_RURA variable in BFGE32FL.DBF). Some of these are clusters number:
45 49 50 51 52 54 55 56 68 69 72 73 74 77 79 80 81 82 83 84 85 87 90 91 94 95 96 97 98 100 101 103 104 105 106 107 108 109 110 111 112 113
I was wondering which is the correct categorisation. Are these urban or rural clusters?

In the original sample design these 42 clusters were initially classified as urban, but during field operations they were found to be rural, and the sample was re-designed treating each of these clusters as rural. See page 215 in the Burkina Faso 1998/99 report. The GPS data were based on the original design, but should be updated to reflect the final status of the clusters as rural clusters.
