Hey all,

I am using Brazil data (DHS 1996). I do need to create the variable "family arrangement".
It`s seems to be derived from "relationship to head" variable.
Can you help me? Do you have a syntax for this?

Here is a response from one of our Senior Data Processing Specialists, Noureddine Abderrahim.

It is best to use the persons (or household members) file to produce the "family arrangement". You won't have to deal with the index. All members of the household are treated the same way.
