Good day,

I am working on Guatemala's most recent individual survey. I want to understand the difference between s115 and s114. One's explanation is "language spoken at home." The other one is "language learned to speak." I am trying to figure out which one is the best marker of language. Does "language learned to speak" mean that particular language is the participant's first language, but not necessarily the one they speak at home now? Or does it mean it is a second language they learned to speak?

Help/insight would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Amelia
