I followed the instructions on this page: https://www.measuredhs.com/topics/Wealth-Index.cfm, for how to get Wealth Index data in the STATcompiler. But the last step is wrong: I can't find Household wealth index, under the branch "Respondent Background Characteristics". Can you please have a look at these instructions:
"To explore health and population indicators by wealth, select from the Complete List in STATcompiler, then chose Characteristics of Households, find Respondent Background Characteristics, look for the Household wealth index, and click on the desired wealth quintiles."
(PS. The Spatial Data Repository has the Wealth Index branch, by women and men: http://spatialdata.measuredhs.com/data.html )

Thanks Erica
I am looking forward to an even more useful STATcompiler. Please consider adding the breakdown of % Asset possession, by income quintile, by rural/urban. This would let us know what % of people in Lowest Quintile in Rural Rwanda have a bike. Are you aware of such dataset, or could you help aggregate it for Gapminder? ( Why? We have started the Dollar Street Project, and we are sending photographers across the world to document living conditions in a systematic way, based on your stats.) /Thanks! Ola

Hi Ola,
Just to let you know that the wealth index shown in the STATcompiler, but not currently in the way described. The "orientation" of the data has been changed, and now under Respondent Background Characteristics, you will see Weighted Percent, Weight number and Unweighted number. Select Weighted percent, and produce a data table. You will then be offered the chance of disaggregating data by background characteristic and you can display the data by wealth index.
We will write back to you separately on the issue disaggregating the asset data by wealth index.
Regards. Trevor
