Dear Experts,

I would like to know how to calculate "HOUSEHOLD POPULATION BY AGE AND SEX" In BDHS 2014, total population is shown 77,313 but the total record is 81624. Its helpful to if you let me the process.

Following is a response from Senior DHS Stata Specialist, Tom Pullum:

77,313 is the weighted number of de facto residents (those with hv103=1) in the PR file.

If you are using Stata, open the PR file and paste the following command: tab hv103 [iweight=hv005/1000000] .

You will get 77,312.719 weighted cases with hv103=1, which rounds to the integer 77,313.
