and when the South Africa 2016 datasets will be prepared for analysis?

DHS datasets are not available until the survey is complete, and the final country report is released. However, it's difficult to anticipate when final reports and/or datasets will be available, as their release depends on several factors. The data are generally released approximately 9-12 months after the last day of fieldwork, and on or after the publication of the final country report.

In the meantime, please sign up for "data availability email alerts", and you will be notified as soon as the data are released: http://dhsprogram.com/email-subscribe.cfm .

Hello,

I am following up on this post. The South Africa 2016 report has been published since May 2017 yet the data are still not available. https://dhsprogram.com/pubs/pdf/PR84/PR84.pdf

When will this data be released?

Data are released only after release of the final country report. The report you are referring to in your post is the Key Indicator Report (KIR).

Okay, thank you Bridgette.

Do you know why the 2003 South Africa report is "not in public domain"? Is there anyone I can contact in order to obtain the dataset for this survey year?
