Is there a way that we can check the latest version of the survey datasets without having to to to the specific dataset page for each survey? We use heavily the full set of DHS surveys and we need to keep our collection of surveys up-to-date. So, we'd like to check the latest versions available in block, and not one by one.

Thaks a lot!

Please note that it is against DHS policy to allow other agencies or organizations to act as an archive or distributor of the data from our surveys. We encourage the use of DHS data, and suggest that you ask interested users to register all project(s) on our web site, and download the datasets from an approved user account. You might also want to consider providing a link on your web page to the DHS registration URL.

We offer the capability to register for email alerts, to keep users informed on new data releases. These alerts are sent out to subscribed users, minutes after a new data release.

For datasets that are updated or modified on our web site, we have a system in place that sends out an alert to all users who previously downloaded that dataset(s). The alert also details the changes made in the new version.

I believe the DHS alert system should keep you updated on the latest version of the survey datasets.

Dear Bridgette, thanks for your reply. Please note that we do not distribute survey data in any situation. But given our work involves analysing all surveys for given sets of indicators we need to keep a local copy of the latest databases. We receive the alert emails, but this is a system that is subject to problems, either because the email is not sent, or lost as spam, etc. But we can live with that if there is no other way.

You may periodically send an email with the region(s) of interest to: archive@measuredhs.com, requesting a directory listing of current data files.

Thanks,

Bridgette
