Hello,

Can anyone provide insight into how long it takes to administer these kinds of surveys?

Household Questionnaire
Women's Survey
Men's Survey
Biomarker

Modules on:
Domestic Violence
Female Genital Cutting
Maternal Mortality
Fistula
Out-of-pocket Health Expenditures

Thank you!

Based on the two most recent DHS surveys in each country, the average median interview time is 52 minutes for the woman's interview and 34 minutes for the man's interview. The household interview averages about 20 minutes, but the duration can be much longer in households with a lot of members. DHS does not collect information on the interview times for the biomarker questionnaire (which vary tremendously according to the number of biomarkers collected) or individual questionnaire modules.
