Following is a response from Senior DHS Stata Specialist, Tom Pullum:

Quote:

Each case in the KR file is a child born in the past five years. Information about the mother is attached to the same record. To combine with information about the father, you have to do a merge with another file (the PR file or the MR file). If the father and child are not living in the same household, then the information is not in any file.
