Replicating BDHS Tables on Vaccination Coverage
https://userforum.dhsprogram.com/index.phpindex.php?t=rview&goto=11763&th=5869#msg_11763
1. How do I replicate the values in the last row "Vaccinated by 12 months of age" of Table 10.3, page 139, BDHS 2014 in Stata? Can you provide me the Stata code for table 10.3 and 10.4?
2. There is a footnote in Table 10.3, page 139, BDHS Report 2104 such as, "For children whose information is based on the mother's report, the proportion of vaccinations given during the first year of life is assumed to be the same as for children with a written record of vaccination." Can anybody explain this footnote? How can I implement it in Stata?]]>suzzon2017-02-07T09:06:32-00:00Re: Replicating BDHS Tables on Vaccination Coverage

Following is a response from DHS Senior Research Associate, Lindsay Mallick:
Quote:
Calculating the last line of Table 10.2, "Vaccinated by 12 months of age", is complicated, particularly given the footnote you mentioned in your second question. This footnote means that for those children who do not have a health card, or who have a health card where the date or part of the date is missing, the date is imputed. It is assumed that the proportion of children with a missing date who received a vaccine in time is equal to the proportion of children who received that vaccine in time and have complete information. The imputed values for specific cases have a random component and are not easily replicated. See the Guide to DHS Statistics for examples (e.g. on page 16) of imputation procedures when dates are incomplete.
