Hello!

I'm a new DHS user and unfortunately, none of my colleagues are familiar with the DHS Data set. I'm currently working on a study that would require data from women and children. However, I am a bit confused about the difference of individual recode and that of the children, women, birth and household recode. I've read the individual recode manual of the DHS but is still confused with the setup of files.

Does it mean that for analysis focusing on women (contraceptive use), I should use the women recode? what is the difference if I use the individual recode?

Thanks in advance!

Karlo
