Hello all,
I am doing my thesis about how family size and birth order affect children's education, based in Philippines. In order to do my econometric model I need a really important variable that is "children's years of education" or children's educational level. I found in the Birth Recode (PHBR70FL) of DHS-VII of Philippines all the variables I need for my model, but I cannot find any variable related to children's education (educational level of all children in a family). There is the variable v107 that is about 'Higuest year of education' but I think it has all respondents' answer. How can I get the variable I want by differenciating children and parents? Besides, I would like to mention I am using Gretl or Stata to do my model.
I would appretiate if someone could help me.
Thank you in advance
