I'd like to look at serostatus of men's partners, and am having trouble with linking couples. While v034 is the line listing of partner, how can I use that to link men with their partner within Stata?

Thanks!

Dear User,
I am not sure which dataset you are working with, but when our data is distributed, it usually incudes a couples data set as well. In addition, here is a link to merging datasets from our website. http://www.measuredhs.com/data/Merging-Datasets.cfm. It provides information on the following:

•File Relationship Types
•Unique Case Identifiers
•Matching Variables
•Steps for Merging Datasets

Hi there,
I'm also wondering to know issues related with HIV-serotatus within couple context. I'm working with couples recode, however I'm not sure how to merge HIV data with couple recode. Would you give me some clue on merging these data set? I mean which identification should I used to merge these data so that I can see serostatus of couples. I'm using SPSS for this purpose.

Thanks
Tewodros
