Dear Experts
Thank you for your cooperation always.
Kindly help me, i have some confusions regarding the analysis on women's empowerment. I want to analyze the relationship between women's empowerment and maternal health using the data from four developing countries.For maternal health i am using antenatal care for the most recent birth( M14_1) in five years preceding the survey by using this command in SAS (if v208=0 then delete), problem is, for women empowerment i have to combine v743a, v743b and v743d the denominator for which is currently married women v502=1, how i have to combine these two denominators v208 and v502, in SAS. Second, in NFHS 4, there are a lot of missing values in v743a, v743b and v743d. Third, how can i find the relationship by crosstab between women empowerment variable and ANC by simultaneously using both v208 and v502?

The questions for variables v743a, v743b, v743d are asked in the set of questions for the state modules (see skip in the filter 728 in the questionnaire), so these variables are only available for women that answered these modules. The selection for this can be performed using the variable SSMOD = 1.
To look at women's empowerment and maternal health for these data you need to select for:
SSMOD = 1 AND V501 = 1 AND V208 > 0
selecting for those answering the module, who are currently married and who have children born in the last 5 years.
