Was the Kenya 2008-09survey conducted differently in terms of area coverage due to the political troubles that came out in 2007/08 and (2) where specific questions about the conflict added in the questionnaire?

Here is a response from one of our experts Joy Fishel, that should answer your question.

The coverage of the survey did not change following the conflicts of 2007/2008. All areas of the country are represented in the sample. Some of the areas most affected experienced displacement of the population, and therefore, the clusters selected from those areas had to be re-listed just before fieldwork to ensure that the sample frame was representative of the current population distribution.

There were no questions included in the survey regarding the violence.
