I have a country data set for HIV biomarkers and I want to merge it with Household, Individual and Male data sets but the problem is that the number of observations in the HIV data set are 19249 while the numbers in the Individual and Male data sets are 9171 and 7480 respectively. Wondering why the number of observations in HIV data set doesn't match the sum of the observations in the two other data sets?

Thanks
Shah
