I am using the Kenya SPA 2010 dataset and am trying to link the modules. I can't seem to find a unique identifier for providers or clients. I am trying to link client-provider observations to individual providers and then to their respective facilities. Does anyone have any experience with this or have any suggestions?

Dear User,
While I am not an expert on SPA data, you may find the Word files distributed with the data to be of some use to you in using the data. I am attaching them for your convenience. You should also have these if you downloaded the data. The Readme.doc is general use for all SPA data sets. The KESP6B.doc is specific to the Kenya SPA 2010 data set.

Dear User,
Every Facility ID is repeated in every provider that is at that facility.
Facility/Provider/Client
Every client Id has both the facility ID and the provider Id so they can be connected back to the provider.
In DHS data sets you have an id with Cluster/HH/Woman
In SPA you have an id with Facility/Provider/Client
The lower you go in a file the bigger the id gets.

Variables are:
FACIL
HLINE
CTYPE (alpha, 5 types of clients in Kenya SPA 2010, Sick Child, ANC, Family Planning, STI, Delivery)
CNUMBER

No matter what client you are in use FACIL and HLINE fromt he client file to connect above to the provider (FACIL)
