Hello,
How do I get this difference in the educational attainment of couples, using the couples recode for Nigeria DHS. I want a situation where I will know if the husband is a year more educated by the wife, or they are of the same educational status, etc... thanks

You can compare variables v133 (for the woman) and mv133 (for the man). These variables are constructed variables that calculate the number of years of education from the level and grade reported for each respondent.

You can crosstabulate these variables, or you can create a variable that is the difference between the two. If you do the latter, take care to handle the 99 codes (missing data) in each variable.
