Dear DHS Forum moderators and other colleagues,
Does anyone know the total children sample size for the NFHS-2 India (98-99). I am having temporary(I hope) problems accessing the datasets and need to quote in a document.

From Dr. Fred Arnold:
NFHS-2 questions on children were based on children under three years of age. In all, there were 30,372 children under 36 months. The questions on diarrhea, fever, and symptoms of acute respiratory infection were based on 29,864 children age 1-35 months.

Thanks,
Sarah-DHS

If you are still having problems accessing the datasets from an approved download account, please send an email to archive@dhsprogram.com. Please send details of the error encountered - error messages or screenshot will help.
