Hi,
I am interested in the indicator - Ever use any method and have found the following code from the do file FP_USE in the DHS GitHub repo

//Ever use any method
gen fp_evuse_any = (v302>0 & v302<8)
label var fp_evuse_any "Ever used any contraceptive method"

However, I notice v302 is completely missing but v302a has values. Is it OK if I use the latter?

Following is a response from Senior DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

Sorry for the delay with this response. Yes, v302a would be used in place of v302. I believe that most DHS surveys in recent years have omitted v302 and included v302a instead.
