The Kenya report states that 88.1% of the women who gave birth in 2 years before the survey delivered in a health facility, however this is only based on the 262 women of the total of 460 women who provided data but there are 198 women (of the 460) who didn't provide an answer (198 missing values for this question). How can you then confidently conclude 88% delivered in a health facility if 43% of your sample didn't provide an answer??

Following is a response from Senior DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

I believe you are misinterpreting the code for "Not Applicable" or "NA". 198 women did not have a child in the past two years. The question about whether the birth was in a health facility would be irrelevant for them. Only the 262 women who actually had a birth in the past two years were asked the question.
